Megan Gauger, DACM, MAOM, BSN, RN, L.Ac.
Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine

Megan is a board-certified (NCCAOM) acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist. She attended the University of New England where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree. The path to becoming a registered nurse is what ultimately led to her decision to become an acupuncturist. She spent three years working toward a Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAOM) degree at the New England School of Acupuncture where she studied Traditional Chinese Medicine, Chinese Herbal Medicine and Japanese Acupuncture Style. She then completed a Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (DACM) from the Pacific College of Health and Science. Megan gained clinical experience at Boston Medical Center in the Pediatric Pain Clinic and Family Medicine, in Integrative Medicine at Malden Family Health Center and various rotations through the New England School of Acupuncture student clinic. In total, she acquired over 3,500 classroom and clinical hours. Megan is currently licensed in Maine and Massachusetts.

Growing up in a household surrounded by complementary medicine, she learned to think outside of a conventional approach to health. She recognizes the importance of a holistic mentality; treating not only the physical body, but the mental, emotional, and spiritual body as well. Megan enjoys helping her patients discover how much of a role they can play in their own health and encourages them to reach their full potential.

Her specialties include women’s health, anxiety and depression, and chronic pain.
